Meet the team

Janet Comrie

Director / Independent Financial Adviser

Janet has been advising clients as an independent financial adviser for over 30 years, the early years with large financial advisory practices, and then running her own practice with her daughter.

“Relationships with clients are highly personal and built on mutual trust and our understanding of a client’s needs and  priorities. Life changes influence the advice needed, and we are well equipped to meet the changing needs that clients have from their money, especially when it comes to ensuring that money passes to the next generation at the right time, and in the most tax efficient manner possible.”

Sarah Dougal

Director / Independent Financial Adviser

Sarah started her career in 1997 as the office junior in her mother’s practise and became an adviser in 2007.

“I enjoy getting to know my clients and creating financial plans for them, not just for the present but for their lifetime. It is great to see people achieving their objectives. I think a good relationship with your adviser is key, and should last for a long time, I am pleased I would class some of my client as friends, having seen them through various stages of their lives, and them mine.”

Sarah has a broad level of experience in all areas of financial planning, but over the last few years helping people with the retirement options and cashflow forecasts has become a particular area of interest for her.

Leone Pearce

Chartered Financial Planner

Leone has over 20 years’ experience in financial services since leaving Durham University with a degree in Chemistry. During that time, she has worked for a number of different financial institutions, from banks to insurance companies, before becoming a chartered financial adviser in 2018.

“I absolutely love my job! I believe that I am here to help people to understand and meet their financial goals and to protect themselves and their loved ones along the way. I love working with clients to pull financial plans together that we then work on together to review and re-plan as life shifts and changes as it inevitably does. I am happy to say that some of my clients have become friends over the time we have been working together; I have met some lovely people along the way and look forward to meeting many more in the years to come.”

Leone has a broad knowledge base of the different aspects of financial planning, choosing not to specialise in any specific area of advice. However, in recent times she has enjoyed helping clients with planning towards their future retirements which has involved cashflow forecasting alongside investment advice.

Louise Sheldrake

Administrator

I had a few years’ experience in Financial Services and when I returned to work following maternity leave, I wanted to remain in the industry.  I am responsible for the day to day administration supporting the other members of the team and pride myself in being well organised with a good attention to detail.  I enjoy being part of a team and look forward to progressing further with the ongoing support and training that I currently receive.

Kate Dougal

Administrator

I decided on a career change just over a year ago, having worked in an administrative role in a different industry.  I was given the opportunity to join the family business, as the newest member of the team learning everything from the bottom upwards.

I am thoroughly enjoying this, and I am striving to become an adviser in several years’ time. I help with general administration, post, valuations etc.
